One person has been killed after a head on collision at the corner of Tara Road and Club Road around midnight on Saturday night.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that two vehicles had collided in a head on format. Paramedics found that one person was entrapped in the wreckage. Paramedics assessed the lady and found that she had suffered extensive injuries and had passed away before Paramedics arrival. Unfortunately there was nothing anyone could do to assist and she was declared deceased at the scene. Three other people from both vehicles had sustained minor to moderate injuries and were stabilized on the scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage it is unclear what led up to the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
