Taxi and car collide leaving two injured in Berea

Two people were injured in a collision between a taxi and car in South Ridge Road, Berea, this evening.

ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found the car against a traffic light.

The taxi was on its roof on the N3. It is understood that the taxi driver drove through a barrier before landing on the N3.

The occupant of the car, a female, and taxi driver were trapped in their vehicles.

They were extricated by Fire and Rescue Services.

Upon assessment by paramedics it was found that they sustained moderate injuries.

They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.

Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
