Driver veers off wet road to collide with bridge structure at Taylors Halt

This morning just after 06h00 Netcare 911 paramedics received a call for a vehicle that collided into a bridge in the Taylors Halt area of Pietermaritzburg. Reports from the scene indicate that the vehicle was driving along Edendale road when the driver veered off the road in the wet weather and collided onto a bridge. Exact detail to the cause of the crash however will remain a subject for police comment.

The Netcare 911 Advanced life support paramedic and his team arrived at the scene and found that two people was critically injured while two others sustained serious injuries. Paramedics worked fervently at the scene to stabilise the injured before they transported them to local hospitals for the care that they required.
