This afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a roll over collision on the R617 in the Natal Midlands. Reports indicate that a bakkie with eleven occupants was traveling near Mafakathini when the vehicle overturned and rolled several times. Exact detail to the cause of the collision however will remain a subject for police comment.
Paramedics from various services arrived at the scene and after triaging found that all eleven passengers sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor. Medics stabilised the injured at the scene before they transported them to hospitals in Pietermaritzburg for the care that they required.
