Three injured, one critically, in two separate incidents

Three people were injured in two separate collisions this afternoon.

In the first incident which occurred on the Golden Highway close to the Grasmere Toll Plaza, ER24 paramedics and other services found a vehicle lying on its roof on the road.

Upon assessment of the patients it was found that one man sustained critical injuries and another sustained moderate injuries.

They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.

In the second incident which occurred on the R59 in Meyerton, the driver of a bakkie sustained moderate injuries after he crashed into a barrier close to an embankment.

When ER24 paramedics and Midvaal Fire and Rescue Services arrived on scene they found the man still in the vehicle.

Paramedics assessed and treated him for his injuries. He was transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact cause of both incidents is unknown.

Authorities were at both scenes for further investigations.
