A total of four people including two toddlers were injured in a collision that occurred on the N12 near the Tom Jones off ramp in Benoni, Johannesburg. The collision occurred earlier this afternoon and involved only one vehicle.
ER24 responded to the scene and after assessment found that one of the toddlers were entrapped in the vehicle. With the help of other services on scene, paramedics managed to extricate the young child. All four patients sustained moderate injuries and two patients were treated and transported by ER24 to Sunshine Hospital for further treatment. The remaining patients were treated and transported by other medical services on scene.
The cause of the incident remains unknown, local authorities were on scene for investigation.
