This evening Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a side impact collision on the N2 south Opposite Kingsway Hospital. A report from the scene indicates that one vehicle was making a U-turn on the highway when the other vehicle collided into his side.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the wreckage of the one vehicle in the centre median while the other wreckage was found about fifty meters up the road on the southbound lane. After the occupants were assessed it was found that four people sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.
Medics treated the injured at the scene before they transported them to a hospital in Umlazi for the care that they required.
