Baby among injured as car crashes into pedestrians in Durban North

Three people, among them a small child, have been left injured after being struck by a light motor vehicle on Ellis Park Drive in Durban North this afternoon.

Crisis Medical paramedics were called to the scene shortly after 12:30pm to find that a driver of a light motor vehicle had lost control on the suburban road, knocking over two adults and a baby.

One of them, a twenty one year old male, suffered serious injury and advanced life support care was needed to stabilize him on scene.

The mother and baby suffered minor injuries and were attended to on scene.

Once treated and stabilized, all were taken by Crisis Medical ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.

The driver of the vehicle was not harmed in the incident.
