A man, believed to be in his 40s, was left seriously injured this morning after he was hit by a taxi on Lo Mont Road in Bethlehem.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the patient lying in the middle of the road.
The taxi in question had pulled off to the side of the road.
On assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained serious injuries to his legs and was in a serious condition.
The patient was treated and provided with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Mediclinic Hoodland for further treatment.
Fortunately no-one from the taxi sustained any injuries.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
