On Monday night at 23h30 Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the reports of a truck and a car that collided on the N2 North at the Queen Nandi Drive off ramp. Exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain a subject for the South African Police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway to be littered with accident debris and the twisted frames of the vehicle and truck, the driver was found to have sustained life-threatening injuries. The Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioner and her team worked fervently to stabilise the critically wounded man at the scene. Paramedics placed him on a ventilator, and spinally immobilised the patient before they transported him to a specialised facility for the care that he required.
