Falling tree seriously injures Greymont man

A man was left seriously injured yesterday afternoon when a large tree fell on top of him in a park at the corners of Cross and 8th Street in Greymont, Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics were called to the scene by members of public that had witnessed the incident.

On arrival, paramedics found a man lying partiallyt beneath a large tree. Members of public had already begun removing the man from beneath the tree.

Paramedics assessed the patient and found that he was in a serious condition, with injuries to his head, chest and arms.

Paramedics treated the patient and provided him with advanced life support treatment. Once treated, he was immobilised and transported to Helen Joseph Hospital for further treatment.
