Three people have died and three others have been left fighting for their lives after a serious motor vehicle collision on the N2 north of Durban this afternoon.
Crisis Medical paramedics arrived on the scene of the north bound carriage way, near to the popular Sibaya Casino, to find a single light motor vehicle had rolled several times before coming to a rest on an embankment next to the roadway.
The six occupants of the vehicle had been ejected during the roll over. Three were pronounced dead on arrival, having suffered fatal injuries.
Three others sustained serious injury and were stabilized on scene before being taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals for further care.
The cause of the incident is unknown and will form subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
