On Monday morning just after 7am EMER-G-MED’s RV9, M02 and A09 were dispatched to reports of a serious collision on the corner of Andries Pretorius and Diagonal Road, in Edenvale.
On arrival paramedics found that a car had been T-boned, allegedly after the other car skipped a red traffic light, leaving two of the occupants entrapped with serious injuries.
The fire department were called out to extricate the two patients from the vehicle, using the “Jaws of life”.
Once freed the patients were stabalized further and transported to a nearby hospital under Advanced Life Support care.
Local authorities were on-scene to investigate the events leading up to the collision.
