Tuesday morning EMER-G-MED paramedics responded to reports of a taxi that had rolled on the M1 North before Grayston Drive, in Sandton.
It’s alleged that the taxi side-swiped a broken down vehicle, causing it to lose control and roll. On arrival paramedics found the badly damaged taxi lying on it’s side, the passengers strewn across the highway.
A total of 15 people were injured, with seven of them requiring Advanced Life Support interventions. Once the patients were stabilised, they were transported to various facilities for further management.
JMPD were on-scene to investigate the cause of the tragic collision.
