Bakkie rear-ends another injuring seven, Paarl

Seven people were injured this afternoon when a bakkie rear-ended another on the N1 Highway in Paarl, Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene with provincial services. Two bakkies were found on the side of the road with the occupant seated nearby.

On assessment, paramedics found that seven people including a 3-year-old boy had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. One of he patients had been ejected from the back of the bakkie in the collision.

Fortunately no fatal injuries were reported on the scene.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Paarl Hospital for further treatment.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
