Durban North roll-over crash leaves three injured

On Sunday night at 23h51 Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a vehicle that overturned on the M4 in Beachwood, Durban. Reports from the scene indicate that the vehicle was traveling north bound when it overturned and rolled. Exact detail to the cause of the crash will remain a subject for the South African Police to investigate.

Netcare 911paramedics arrived at the scene and found the twisted frame of the vehicle and accident debris littering the highway. After investigating they found that two people were trapped under the wreckage of the vehicle with life threatening injuries, a third person was found to have sustained serious injuries.

Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the injured, while firefighters worked tirelessly to extricate them using the Jaws of Life . The Emergency Care Practitioners had to place the two critically wounded patients on Manual ventilators at the scene. The injured were then immobilised on trauma boards, before paramedics transported them to a hospital in Umhlanga for the care that they required.
