A thirty year old man sustained serious injuries when he was struck by a delivery vehicle on North Coast Road in Redhill north of Durban earlier today.
Crisis Medical paramedics arrived on scene to find the man lying in one of the side roads adjacent to the main road, having suffered serious injuries including fractures to both legs.
Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilize him before he was taken by ambulance to Addington State Hospital for further care.
Reports from the scene suggest the man was struck by the vehicle whilst attempting to cross the road.
