A seven-year-old boy has died and six others have sustained serious injuries after a bakkie they were travelling in overturned on Old Koppies road in Kroonstad, Free State.
The exact detail to the cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
When Netcare911 paramedics arrived on scene , they found that the occupants of the bakkie had all been ejected out of the vehicle with serious injuries. They also found that the seven-year-old boy had already died due to the extensive injuries he sustained.
The boy was declared dead on scene by Netcare911 paramedics.
The six that are in a serious condition have been transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
