8 Injured in 3 car pile up in intersection in Durban

Eight people have been injured two seriously so after three vehicles collided at the intersection of Inanda Road and Newlands West Road just after 11:30am this morning.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that three vehicles had collided in the junction. Eight patients from all three vehicles lay on the side of the road. Immediately more ambulances as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics were dispatched to the scene. Two patients had suffered serious injuries whilst six others had suffered minor to moderate injuries. Once all of the injured had been stabilized on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.
