Bakkie and station wagon collide in Stellenbosch injuring three

Three people were injured this morning, including a five-year-old boy, when a bakkie and station wagon collided on the R44 in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found both vehicles on the side of the road.

It is understood that the two vehicle collided sending the station wagon spinning into a nearby streetpole.

On assessment, paramedics found that a man, woman and 5-year-old boy were seated inside the station wagon, their injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Stellenbosch provincial hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the bakkie fortunately did not sustain any injuries.

Local; authorities were on scene for further investigations.
