A man in his 40s was injured this afternoon after he rear-ended a bakkie on Lansdowne Road in Claremont in the Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man sitting on the pavement next to his motorcycle, parked on the side of the road.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained moderate injuries while the driver of the bakkie had escaped injury.
Paramedics treated the patient and thereafter transported him to Kingsbury Hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate the cause of the collision.
