This morning EMER-G-MED paramedics responded to reports of a serious collision on the R512 outside the Lanseria International Airport, in Lanseria – north of Johannesburg.
The events leading up to the collision are unclear, but on arrival paramedics found that a car had rear-ended a truck – leaving the car heavily damaged.
The driver of the car sustained serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support interventions. The patient was treated on-scene before being transported to a nearby facility for further care.
Local authorities were on-scene to investigate the exact events leading up to the collision.
