Eleven injured in Somerset West taxi collision

Eleven people were injured this morning following a collision between a taxi and light motor vehicle on the N2 in Somerset West in the Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on scene to find that a taxi and light motor vehicle had collided and lay in the middle of the road.

On assessment, paramedics found that 11 people including a 1-week-old baby, had all sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported the to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
