KZN: Six injured in two collisions

Six people were injured in two separate incidents in KwaZulu-Natal earlier today.

The first incident took place on Phakati Street in Klaarwater.

ER24 paramedics and provincial paramedics arrived on scene and found that a car and taxi had collided.

One person was found lying on the ground and four were found walking around and standing on scene.

Upon assessment it was found that the patients, one woman and four men, sustained minor to moderate injuries.

They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown. Authorities were on scene for further investigations.

The second incident took place on the M1 between the Morton off ramp and M34.

ER24 paramedics were driving past the area when they came across a vehicle that had crashed into an armco barrier.

A man believed to be in his 40’s was found lying next to the vehicle.

Upon assessment paramedics found that he sustained moderate injuries. He was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
