At 19h16 on Sunday evening Netcare 911 paramedics responder to a vehicle that overturned along Alpine Road, Springfield, Durban. Reports from the scene indicate that the vehicle veered off the road, hit a tree and then overturned. The twisted frame of the vehicle came to rest on its roof on the grass verge.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that fourteen people had been injured, four seriously while ten escaped with minor injuries. Medics treated the injured at the scene before they transported them to various hospitals in the area for the care that they required.
