Just after 3.30pm Saturday afternoon EMER-G-MED’s RV6, M07, A01 and A11 were dispatched to reports of a serious collision on the corner of Malibongwe Drive and Kapital, in Northriding.
Paramedics arrived on-scene to find that two vehicles had collided head-on, pushing one of the cars off the road and into a traffic light.
Two people, a driver and passenger from one of the vehicles, sustained moderate injuries – with the driver requiring Advanced Life Support care. They were treated on-scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further management.
The driver of the other vehicle was fortunately uninjured.
The cause of the collision is unclear, and will be investigated by local authorities.
