2 Injured in head on crash Umhlanga

Two people have been seriously injured after two vehicles collided head on, on the M4 Ruth First Highway near Umhlanga around 9am this morning.

Rescue Care and Netcare 911 Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that two badly damaged vehicles obstructing the roadway. Both drivers had sustained serious injuries and were stabilised in their vehicles by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being carefully extricated and then loaded into waiting ambulances. Both of the injured were then transported to nearby hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the vehicles to collided head on however SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.
