Six people have sustained injuries varying from serious to minor after a bakkie collided with a herd of cattle on Nwedwe road in Tongaat , Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Reports from the scene indicate that one person sustained serious injuries while the other five sustained moderate injuries.
Netcare911 paramedics worked alongside other services on scene including the Provincial EMS and the Fire Department to extricate the seriously injured patient from the wreckage.
It took paramedics and other services an hour to free the man from the wreckage, once freed, he was stabilised on scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
The five that sustained moderate to minor injuries were transported by ambulance to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
