Child pedestrian killed in collision at Bertrams, JHB

On Thursday night EMER-G-MED’s RV4, M04 and A09 were dispatched to reports of a pedestrian vehicle collision on the corner of Albertina Sisulu and Queen Street in Bertrams – east of Johannesburg.

On arrival paramedics found that a 11 year old boy had been knocked over by a car, and was in a very critical condition.

Unfortunately the child’s condition deteriorated and his heart stopped. Paramedics initiated a full Advanced Life Support resuscitation and performed CPR.

Unfortunately their attempts were unsuccessful and declared the patient dead on the scene.
