A mother and her eighteen month old toddler have sustained moderate to minor injuries after a truck struck them on Jadwat street in Isipingo Hills, Durban.
The exact detail to the cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare911 paramedics worked alongside other services to stabilise the mother and toddler on scene.
They were both transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
