Yesterday afternoon EMER-G-MED’s RV6, M01 and A11 responded to reports of a multi-vehicle collision on the corner of 11th and 7th, in Houghton.
The events leading up to the crash are unclear, but it is believed that a missing stop sign was the main factor in causing the collision.
On arrival paramedics found that a light delivery vehicle and two other vehicles had collided, causing the delivery vehicle to overturn.
Fortunately only one person was injured, sustaining moderate to serious injuries.
The patient was treated on-scene before being transport to a nearby specialist trauma hospital under Advanced Life Support care.
JMPD were on the scene to conduct a full investigation.
