One person was killed and four others were injured when the driver lost control of the vehicle they were travelling in on the R28 between Westonaria and Randfontein earlier this evening.
It is understood that the car rolled multiple times ejecting some of the patients.
ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found the vehicle in the veld. Sadly there was nothing that could be done for a man who was found next to the side of the road several metres away from the vehicle.
He sustained multiple injuries. He was declared dead.
Upon assessment of the other patients it was found that they sustained moderate injuries. They were treated and transported to local hospitals for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
