Pedestrian killed in collision on the M19, Durban bound near the Blaire Atholl off ramp

A pedestrian was left with fatal injuries after he was hit by a light motor vehicle on the M19, Durban bound near the Blaire Atholl off ramp. The incident occurred early this morning. When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that pedestrian was lying in the middle of the road.

After assessment, paramedics found that the patient had already succumb to his multiple injuries, including various fractures, and was declared dead on scene by paramedics. The driver of the light motor vehicle didn’t sustain any physical injuries, but was treated for shock.

The cause of the collision remains unknown, local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
