This morning just after 06:30 EMER-G-MED’s RV7, M05 and A08 were dispatched to reports of a vehicle that rolled on the corner of Theunis Van Niekerk and Gemsbok Street,.in Weirda Park.
On arrival paramedics found that two cars had collided in the intersection, causing one to roll – landing against a fence.
The driver of the rolled vehicle was found to have sustained moderate injuries and was entrapped within the wreckage. Paramedics treated the patient with the City of Tshwane fire department extricated the driver from the vehicle using the “jaws of life” and other equipment.
Once successfully freed from the vehicle the patient was transported to a nearby hospital under Advanced Life Support care.
Local authorities were on-scene to investigate the exact cause of the collision.
