At 13h00 on Saturday afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a pedestrian crash along the Old Ottawa Road in Verulam. Exact detail to the cause of the crash is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the female lying on the roadway with Life threatening injuries. Medics worked tirelessly at the scene to stabilise the critically wounded female. After placing her on a ventilator they spinally immobilised the patient on a trauma board and then transported her to a specialised hospital in Umhlanga for the care that she required.
