A 33-year-old woman was injured this evening after after she was hit by a light motor vehicle in an apparent hit-and-run on Riverstone Road in Wynberg in the Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 19h05 and found the woman lying in the middle of the road surrounded by a number of her friends.
On assessment, paramedics found that the woman had fortunately sustained only minor injuries to her leg.
Paramedics treated the patient and loaded her into an awaiting ER24 ambulance where she was transported to Victoria hospital for further treatment.
The vehicle in question was apparently not found on scene, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
