Occupants fortunate to escape serious injury in high speed crash, Woodmead

At 23:05 last night EMER-G-MED’s RV1, RV3, RV6, M06 and A01 responded to reports of a car through a wall on Western Service Road, in Woodmead.

It was reported by witnesses that the driver was travelling at a high-speed and failed to slow in time for the corner. The vehicle launched off the pavement and went airborne through a office park’s fence, finally coming to a stop after colliding with a large tree approximately 100m away from the fence it hit.

Amazingly, despite the damage, two of the three occupants were uninjured. The third person, a passenger, sustained minor to moderate injuries and was treated on-scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
