A pedestrian died this morning after being knocked over by a car on the N1 north just before William Nicol Drive.
It is understood that he was hit by a second vehicle after being knocked over.
ER24 paramedics, CoJ EMS and other services attended to the incident.
The pedestrian, believed to be in his 20’s/30’s, was found lying on the fast lane. Upon assessment by paramedics it was found that he sustained multiple severe injuries.
Sadly there was nothing that could be done for him. He was declared dead.
The driver of the first vehicle sustained minor injuries but refused hospital treatment. The exact cause of the incident is unknown. Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
