A man, believed to be in his 50s, was left seriously injured this morning after he was hit by a light motor vehicle while crossing the Frikkie Meyer Boulevard in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 08h30 and found the man lying against one of the parked light motor vehicles.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that the man had sustained a serious injury to his right leg, leaving him in a serious condition.
Paramedics treated the patient and provided him with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patient was transported to Sebokeng Hospital for urgent treatment.
The driver of the vehicle fortunately escaped without injury.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
