PMB N3 south leaves four people injured, one critically

At 17h07 Sunday evening Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision on the N3 south near the Market Road off ramp in Pietermaritzburg. Exact detail to the cause of the crash will form part of the South African Police investigation.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway littered with accident debris and the twisted frame of the vehicle. Paramedics found that one man had sustained life-threatening injuries while three other escaped with minor injuries.

The Netcare Emergency Care Practitioner and his team worked tirelessly to stabilise the critically wounded man at the scene. After he was sedated and placed on a ventilator, they immobilised the patient on a trauma board before transporting him to a specialised hospital for the care that he required.
