Three people have been injured one seriously so after three vehicles collided on the N3 Durban Bound before Commercial Road just after 6am this morning.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the three badly damaged vehicles blocking two of the three lanes. Three patients had sustained injuries with one patient sustained serious injuries. Rescue Care Advanced Life Support Paramedics stabilised the man before transporting him to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required. The other two patients had sustained minor injuries and were also treated on the scene.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
