Three people were injured in two separate accidents earlier Monday on the M7 west bound causing vehicles to roll through the centre medium and land on the east bound carriageway, during the heavy rains in Durban.
Paramedics arrived at the first scene to find that three vehicles, namely two cars and a truck, had collided causing the BMW to roll through the centre medium onto oncoming traffic. One person sustained minor injuries. A while later a second collision occurred on the M7. This collision was a single vehicle rollover which has left one person in a serious condition and the second person had minor injuries. Once all of the injured had been stabilized on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision and the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
