Today saw the continuation of rescue efforts for Brenda Scriven, focused on an area of the river off Old North Coast Road, near the Sneezwood intersection.
This area was indicated by SAPS Search and Rescue canines yesterday as being a possible lead.
With the aid of Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services, the rubble and debris in the area was moved away to allow for an excavator, which was generously donated by Morgado SA, to excavate the area. Search teams worked fervently throughout the day but unfortunately no result was found and the search was suspended at 17:30.
Efforts will continue tomorrow morning with the focus being shifted down the river banks.
