On Thursday afternoon at 16h37 Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to a collision on the New Greytown Road in Copesville, PMB. Reports from the scene indicate that two light motor vehicles were traveling in the same direction; a mini bus allegedly was overtaking both vehicles and firstly collided with the cars before rear-ending the truck. Exact detail however will remain a subject for police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the front passenger and the driver still trapped in the wreckage both with serious injuries. After triaging it was established that three people sustained serious injuries while four others escaped with minor injuries.
Medics stabilised the injured at the scene before transporting them to various hospitals for the care that they required.
