This morning at around 07h30 Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision on the R82 in Vereeniging. Reports from the scene indicate that two vehicles collided however, the details to the cause of the crash will form part of the South African Police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a five-year-old-boy had sustained life-threatening injuries while the three other people escaped uninjured. Paramedics worked fervently at the scene to stabilise the critically wounded child . After he was placed on a ventilator they airlifted him to a specialised facility for the care that he required.
