Two women were injured in a collision between two vehicles on the Old Airport Road crossing in George this morning.
ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found one of the women, believed to be in her 50’s, seated in one of the vehicles.
Upon assessment of the patient, who was the driver, it was found that she sustained serious injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, a man, was uninjured.
However, the passenger, who was trapped in the vehicle, sustained moderate injuries.
The patients were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
