An 18-month-old baby is in a critical condition after being driven over by a reversing vehicle in a driveway at a property in Kwa Ximba, in Cato Ridge.
The baby was transported to a local clinic and ER24 paramedics were contacted.
Upon arrival at the clinic, paramedics found nurses attending to the baby.
Upon assessment it was found that the child sustained severe injuries.
Paramedics treated the child and called for a helicopter.
An Air Mercy Service helicopter was activated and the child was taken to a local hospital for further medical care.
