A 23-year-old man was left seriously injured this morning after his bike t-boned a light motor vehicle at the Zambezi and Fink Road intersection in Sinoville, Pretoria.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene just after 08h00 this morning and found both the bike and light motor vehicle in the middle of the intersection.
On inspection, paramedics found the biker lying in the middle of the intersection.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained serious injuries to both of his legs, leaving him in a serious condition.
ER24 paramedics immediately treated the man and initiated advanced life support treatment. Once stable, the patient was transported to Steve Biko Hospital for urgent treatment.
The driver of the light motor vehicle, a woman in her 30s was assessed and found to have sustained only minor injuries. She was treated and transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
