On Tuesday Morning at 07h30 Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision on the R103 in Mkondeni, Pietermaritzburg. Reports from the scene indicate that the bike with rider and passenger was pulled off the roadway when they were rear-ended by a vehicle.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that both people were flung from the bike on impact. Paramedics examined the injured and found that they sustained serious injuries. Medics treated the patients at the scene before transporting them to a nearby hospital for the care that they required.
