Whilst on a routine morning patrol in the Springfield Park area, north of Durban on Wednesday, a Marshall Security Armed Reaction officer was flagged down by a man lying on the ground at an entrance to an industrial park in Beechfield Crescent.
The man who couldn’t walk, had leopard crawled to the gate, after falling from the roof of a warehouse. The injured man was allegedly a trespassing suspect, who had trespassed on the property the day before and hidden from security officers. In a failed attempt to flee the scene this morning, the man fell from the roof of the property, injuring himself. The man tied his jacket to the roof and attempted to climb down, however his attempt was futile and he fell approximately six stories to the ground, severely injuring himself.
The assistance of the Kwazulu-Natal Emergency Services was requested for by the Marshall Security emergency contact centre and the suspect was handed over to the South African Police services.
